Parent/Child Evening Program

  • Family life curriculum is provided in all grades and there is an additional program about puberty for girls in grade 4 and boys in grade 5 that is conducted by the school nurse and the physical education teacher. This program may look different this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The fourth and fifth grade presentations provide information on the social, emotional, mental and physical changes that take place during puberty in an interesting, fun and low stress format.

Here are additional books on the subject that you may want to look at. Every family handles this topic in their own way so I would suggest that parents preview any material before sharing it with your son or daughter.
