Online / Outside Courses

 

Students may take online courses through approved online providers to complete original high school courses and/or recover high school courses and credits as a result of end of year failure or loss of credit. 

 

Original Credit Courses

Students should consult their school counselor regarding options for original credit classes that may be taken during high school.  School counselors can assist students in choosing an online course that will fulfill high school requirements.

 

Credit Recovery Courses

Students should consult their school counselor for options for credit recovery courses that may be taken to recover credit from a failed and/or loss of credit course.  School counselors can assist students in choosing a credit recovery option that will fulfill the requirements of the original course where credit was lost.

 

No incoming 9th graders can participate in online or summer courses until they begin high school.

Online courses or courses taken outside of Cherry Hill public schools do not count towards either weighted or unweighted GPA.

Both original credit and credit recovery courses can fulfill graduation requirements and can be used for credit.
