Dean Drizin

Dean Drizin, MD, MBA is a physician executive, board member, veteran, and proud dad of two Cherry Hill students. Dean was elected to the Board of Education in 2024. 

Dr. Drizin brings a background in medicine and management. He earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, his medical degree (MD) from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and an MBA in Health Care Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He now leads the corporate development office of a national nonprofit home health care organization and serves as a flight surgeon in the United States Navy Reserve. His prior experience spans investment banking, venture capital, and military service as an active-duty flight surgeon in the United States Navy, during which time he deployed to Japan and El Salvador as the sole primary care provider to over 300 Naval aviation personnel.

Dr. Drizin believes education should foster curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and social responsibility, teaching our children how to show kindness and understanding of each other's points of view.  He believes all children have the ability to learn and reach their best potential. A strong believer in transparency, Dr. Drizin is committed to consistently engaging with Cherry Hill community members.  He will work to unite Cherry Hill’s students, families, educators, and residents in a common pursuit of academic success throughout the Cherry Hill Public School system.
