Kurt Braddock

Kurt Braddock has been a teacher and researcher for 20 years. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Communication at American University. Dr. Braddock was elected to the Cherry Hill Board of Education in 2024.

Dr. Braddock brings his expertise in communication to the board and hopes to promote transparency between school stakeholders. He has a unique understanding of how data-driven research can help organizations make better decisions. His own research focuses on extremism, hate, and violence, and hopes that his work can help build a Cherry Hill school system free of antisemitism, Islamophobia, and hate towards vulnerable communities (e.g., LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, differently-abled students). 

Dr. Braddock plays hockey throughout South Jersey and trains in kickboxing in Cherry Hill, where he lives with his family.
