Melissa Manzano

Melissa Manzano was appointed in October 2025 to fill a vacant Board seat. She is a dedicated educator and arts advocate with more than 15 years of experience advancing education, arts integration, and equitable learning environments.

Mrs. Manzano holds dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Music and Theater Education, a Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership, and a New Jersey School Supervisor Certificate. As a proud member of NAfME and NJMEA, she contributes to statewide strategic planning efforts to expand access and opportunity in music education. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom through her work developing arts-based curricula and initiatives that cultivate creativity, leadership, and cultural awareness among students.

A proud Cherry Hill resident, Mrs. Manzano and her husband are raising their four young children in the district. Her personal and professional experiences give her a unique perspective on the needs of students, families, and educators at every level of learning.

Mrs. Manzano’s mission is to foster equitable, inclusive environments where every student, teacher, and family can thrive. Her vision as a Board of Education member is rooted in the belief that every child deserves access to meaningful educational experiences, no matter which school they attend or what program they are part of. Mrs. Manzano approaches her board service with integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to equity—always striving to ensure that the voices of students, families, and educators are heard and valued.
