Creates, collects and publishes creative writing, drawing, painting, and other art in a magazine once a year.

Best Buddies
Fosters one-to-one friendships between middle school students with and without IDD (Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities), in which they share interests, experiences, and activities. Students with IDD are often isolated and left out of social activities. Best Buddies Middle Schools helps to create an inclusive middle school culture for all students early on in their educational development.

Bridge
Meets on Monday & Wednesday after-school beginning Wednesday, October 2, 2019 thru Wednesday, May 27, 2020. High School students volunteer to serve as a "Bridge" between high school & middle school. Each "Bridge" student works with individuals or small groups of 6th-8th graders as a tutor/mentor.

Chess & Board Game Club

Dance Club
Meets on Monday in Room B-203. Students will learn a variety of different types of dances led by 7th and 8th grade students. Hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, jazz are a few types of dance that we will explore. All are invited attend.

Library Ambassadors
The Library Ambassadors of Rosa is a new student leadership organization at Rosa that supports initiatives of our school library. The group will support our library's initiatives by promoting books, authors and library resources for the school community. They will lead community service efforts related to the library, help plan and host library events and may be called upon to serve as a liaison between the library and our partners.

Math Counts
The MATHCOUNTS Competition Program provides the extra incentive and the perfect atmosphere for students to push themselves to achieve more in mathematics. Consisting of fun and creative problems that promote critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, the MATHCOUNTS competitions have written and oral rounds, as well as individual and team components. Though challenging and non-routine, the competition problems focus on the 6th through 8th grade standards of the National Council of Teachers in Mathematics.

Sign Language Club is a "hands on" Club focused on learning American Sign Language including the Alphabet Songs, common words and phrases--we play games and have fun by learning this unique language.

Video Game Club
6th Grade meet on Monday in room B-213
7th & 8th Grade meet on Tuesday in room B-213
During Video Game Club students play on the computers, chat with friends (communication is an intrical part of this club), have snack and play video games. Students are encouraged to bring in their own portable gaming system such as a DS. If they do have one there are plenty of games I provide for the club.
In addition, we play social games such as Apples to Apples, Simon Says and Four Corners. The ultimate goal is to provide a safe place for the students to go where they can play games, meet other students and have fun.
