A Letter from the Superintendent

Dear Cherry Hill Public Schools Community,

It is with great pleasure that I announce my recommendation of Ms. Caroline Steer to serve as the next Director of Secondary Education for Cherry Hill Public Schools. This recommendation will be presented to the Board of Education for approval at its July 28, 2026 meeting. Ms. Steer brings more than two decades of educational experience as a teacher, school leader, district administrator, and acting superintendent, making her exceptionally well-positioned to support and advance our district's continued commitment to excellence.

Ms. Steer currently serves as the Director of Elementary Education for Pennsauken Public Schools and has also served as Acting Superintendent. In these leadership roles, she has overseen curriculum and instruction, staffing, federal grant management, professional development, community engagement, and district operations. She has worked closely with school leaders, educators, families, and Board members to strengthen educational programs and ensure positive outcomes for students.

Throughout the interview process, Ms. Steer distinguished herself as a thoughtful, collaborative, and student-centered leader. Our interview committee was particularly impressed by her ability to connect strategic leadership with the day-to-day needs of schools, her commitment to continuous improvement, and her focus on supporting both students and staff. As we continue advancing the goals outlined in our Strategic Plan, I am confident that Ms. Steer will be a tremendous asset to our district and an effective partner to our secondary school leaders. Her broad leadership experience, commitment to educational excellence, and passion for serving students will help strengthen our efforts to ensure every learner is prepared for success in school and beyond.
