Beck Named a Camden County Middle School of Character

We congratulate Henry C. Beck Middle School for being selected as a Camden County Middle School of Character.

“I'm very excited that Beck has been recognized,” said Principal Rebecca Metzger. “I'm especially grateful to the members of the committee who collaborated on writing the application, ensuring that it reflected the hard work and school-wide efforts we've put into place over the past 2+ years."

“It’s amazing to be recognized because we are truly a school of character,” said Assistant Principal Ninh Nguyen. “Our incredible staff embodies our core values every day, which sets the standard for our students to follow.”

Schools are chosen for this honor based on programs implemented to help students recognize the importance of good character and reinforce values like respect, responsibility, citizenship, and more.

“Beck Middle School’s designation as a Camden County Middle School of Character is an outstanding achievement that highlights the dedication of its students, staff, and community to fostering a culture of respect and integrity,” said Superintendent Dr. Kwame Morton. “This honor reflects their commitment to shaping compassionate and responsible students, and we are very proud of their example.”

"This recognition is a true example of a team award, in that it requires a shared vision, collective values, and collaboration from the entire staff in order to be realized,” said Dr. Neil Burti, Director of Secondary Education for Cherry Hill Public Schools.

The standing remains in effect from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026.
