Important Message from the Superintendent March 23, 2020
NOTE: Subsequent to sending the letter linked below the evening of March 23, 2020, Dr. Meloche was notified by a parent that an extended family member who was also in attendance at the March 6, 2020 production of Legally Blonde has also been confirmed with a positive case of COVID-19.
The Camden County Department of Health has informed us that since the possible exposure to people was more than two weeks ago, “the situation must have resolved by now.” The Camden County Department of Health recommends “anyone with questions about the novel coronavirus, symptoms, or their risk of exposure, can call the free, 24-hour public hotline at 1-800-222-1222 where trained professionals are standing by to answer your questions.”

On Monday, March 23, 2020, the Cherry Hill School District was notified by a family member, that the parent of one of our students has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). Please view this Letter to the Community from Dr. Meloche for more information.
Dr. Meloche Addresses Question of How Long Schools Will Be Closed

Meal Distribution Locations and Times Set
Notice to families who qualify for free/reduced price meals: Distribution of meals will continue the week of March 23, 2020 from 10 am to noon at High School East and High School West, as well as at Paine and Johnson Elementary Schools, for ALL QUALIFYING FAMILIES IN DISTRICT. Each qualifying student will receive 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches on Monday, 3/23, Wednesday, 3/25 and Friday 3/27 from 10 am to noon. This will be a drive-up/walk-up process at the front of the Main Entrance at CH West and at the Student Entrance (large parking lot) at CH East, and the front entrances of Paine and Johnson. The person picking up meals MUST HAVE THE STUDENT ID NUMBER FOR EACH CHILD receiving meals. This schedule will remain in effect while schools are closed. Questions? Email email@example.com
Full-Day Kindergarten and First Grade Registration 2020-2021
If you are a parent who was scheduled to register a child for kindergarten from March 17 through March 26, 2020, the in-person registration process is on hold. PLEASE DO NOT COME IN TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD.

Security in the Cherry Hill Public Schools

2020-2021 Applications due now for Barclay Early Childhood and Rosa Middle School
To submit an application for Open Enrollment to Rosa, please view this Enrollment Letter online. Applications will be accepted from February 18, 2020 through February 28, 2020. You must submit your application by 4:00 pm on February 28, 2020. The online application will not be available after 4:00 pm on February 28, 2020.

Procedure for Placing Restrictions on Meal Accounts
Parents who wish to place restrictions on their child's meal account are asked to call the Food Service office at (856) 424-2316 or email Operations Director Anne King at King-Anne@aramark.comParents may stipulate the following:- No breakfast- No second meals- Limits on particular snacks, for example: no fruit snacks, no ice creamIf a parent places a restriction on a child's account, the child will not be able to buy the restricted item(s), even if the child brings in money for the particular item(s). Safety & Security Forum Video Now Available, Post-Forum Questions Accepted Via Online Portal
The Cherry Hill Public Schools held a Safety & Security Forum on October 29, 2019, which was open to the public. The video recording of the forum is available on our YouTube channel. Questions and Answers submitted by the community, including those that were not answered during the forum, can be viewed online. Also available online are the panelists' biographies and a chart showing security and mental health support resources at each of our high schools and middle schools, and at the elementary grade level.

The New Jersey Department of Education has released the updated high school graduation assessment requirements in English Language Arts/Literacy (ELA) and mathematics for the Classes of 2019 through 2022. These requirements are available online.
