  • Two Messages from the Superintendent

    On Saturday, March 28, 2020, the Cherry Hill School District was notified by a staff member at Clara Barton Elementary School that the staff member has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). Please view this Letter to the Community from Dr. Meloche for more information.

    The Camden County Department of Health recommends “anyone with questions about the novel coronavirus, symptoms, or their risk of exposure, can call the free, 24-hour public hotline at 1-800-222-1222 where trained professionals are standing by to answer your questions.”

    On Sunday, March 29, 2020, we received the sad news of the death of a Cherry Hill High School West teacher after an intense battle with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with her devastated family during this difficult time. A letter to the community from Dr. Meloche regarding the loss of the teacher, Mrs. Andrea Hahn-Walsh, is available online.

  • Additional Meal Distribution Locations Added for Week of 3/30/20

    Notice to families who qualify for free/reduced price meals: Distribution of meals to ALL FAMILIES IN THE DISTRICT WHO QUALIFY FOR FREE/REDUCED PRICE MEALS will continue the week of March 30, 2020 with new locations added. On Monday, March 30, qualifying students will receive 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches per student. On Wednesday, April 1, qualifying students will receive 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches per student. Meals may be picked up at any of the following five locations:

    • Cherry Hill High School East from 10 am to noon
    • Cherry Hill High School West from 10 am to noon
    • Clara Barton Elementary School from 10 am to noon
    • Barlow Park on Victor Avenue, just off Church Road, from 10 to 10:45 am
    • Carusi Middle School from 11:15 am to noon

    Please be sure to have student ID numbers ready in order to claim each student’s meal.

  • Full-Day Kindergarten and First Grade Registration 2020-2021

    If you are a parent who was scheduled to register a child for kindergarten from March 17 through March 26, 2020, the in-person registration process is on hold. PLEASE DO NOT COME IN TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD.

    What to do now:

    Once you have pre-registered your child, he or she is in the registration queue.

     

    Someone from the Registration Department will contact you to finalize your child's registration.

  • An Important Message from the Superintendent

    We are aware of the presumptive positive case of Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Cherry Hill announced this afternoon by the Camden County Department of Health. We will be working closely with the Camden County Department of Health, the Camden County Superintendent's Office, and the New Jersey Department of Health in monitoring the situation throughout the weekend. 
     
    We will notify families and staff of any effect on our schools through the usual channels of email, phone calls, web site postings and social media postings.
     
    We encourage anyone with questions to contact the district at publicinfo@chclc.org or jmeloche@chclc.org

  • 2020-2021 Applications due now for Barclay Early Childhood and Rosa Middle School

    To submit an application for Open Enrollment to Rosa, please view this Enrollment Letter online. Applications will be accepted from February 18, 2020 through February 28, 2020. You must submit your application by 4:00 pm on February 28, 2020. The online application will not be available after 4:00 pm on February 28, 2020.

    To submit an application for Barclay Early Childhood Center, please view this 2020-2021 Application for Barclay Early Childhood Center. Applications are being accepted from February 1 thru March 1, 2020.

  • Procedure for Placing Restrictions on Meal Accounts

    Parents who wish to place restrictions on their child's meal account are asked to call the Food Service office at (856) 424-2316 or email Operations Director Anne King at King-Anne@aramark.com

     Parents may stipulate the following:
    - No breakfast
    - No second meals
    - Limits on particular snacks, for example: no fruit snacks, no ice cream
     
    If a parent places a restriction on a child's account, the child will not be able to buy the restricted item(s), even if the child brings in money for the particular item(s). Questions about restrictions should be directed to Anne King at the phone number/email listed above.

  • Safety & Security Forum Video Now Available, Post-Forum Questions Accepted Via Online Portal

     

    Safety Security

    The Cherry Hill Public Schools held a Safety & Security Forum on October 29, 2019, which was open to the public. The video recording of the forum is available on our YouTube channel. Questions and Answers submitted by the community, including those that were not answered during the forum, can be viewed online. Also available online are the panelists' biographies and a chart showing security and mental health support resources at each of our high schools and middle schools, and at the elementary grade level.

    Graduation Cap and Books with Degree

    The New Jersey Department of Education has released the updated high school graduation assessment requirements in English Language Arts/Literacy (ELA) and mathematics for the Classes of 2019 through 2022. These requirements are available online.
