ASVAB Testing Information

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Career Exploration Program is a widely used and respected career development program and test.  The ASVAB will be available, free of charge to all interested West students in grades 10-12.  There is no military obligation in taking the exam. Developed by the Department of Defense, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program helps students to identify potential careers in both military and civilian arenas.  Although the military uses this test to identify occupational specialists, students who plan to attend college or technical schools will also benefit from the program , as it can help them to focus their interests on relevant career paths.

Interested students may view sample test questions at www.asvabprogram.com under the "participants" tab.

An ASVAB representative will be at West on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 7:30 AM in room A-6. Students who are interested in taking the exam must register with their counselor in order to participate.  Space is limited so the deadline to register is Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
